Can I...
Can I...
Mix up some Megs Gold Class Wash with water, put it in a QD spray bottle and use it in lieu of quick detailer to lubricate clay? I need to clay today but have no means of getting to the store for more quick detailer...thanks.
if you are going to do it with soap, use car soap. it will work perfectly as a lube, but can cause some issues with the clay, although using it once, as long as you don't leave it soaking the soapy water should be no problem.
do not use dish soap.. that will cause issues with the clay for sure, and is not the best thing for the paint.

GC is one of the few washes that plays nicely with clay... I use it every time I am going to clay something (cost effective...)
Most other washes dont treat the clay nicely--they dry it out.
EDIT:
FWIW, Boss_429 does the same. We both wash then use the same bucket to go straight to clay. And with GC, you can use it until the clay needs to be tossed-- it wont break it down.
