Mustang Mini-detail

Since one of my friends just graduated, I decided to wash his car as part of his grad gift. I also gave him a Meg's 20 dollar gift box.

Showed up at around 12ish, and here's then end result 5 or so hours later. I know, the results aren't spectacular, but I gave it a try. I'm still learning...

Orange peel, lol

Front

Hood shot, yea, I know, I didn't get all the scratches out, but I hope I made an improvement.

Process:
Wash - Two bucket, Gold Class
Dry - Sheeting method, finished with waffle weave towel
Clay - Meg's Clay Kit
Polish - 2 passes of 80 w/ Meg's polishing pad on the hood; 1 pass of 80 on the rest of the car (except the racing stripes, didn't know if 80 would have been OK for them)
Glaze - one quick pass of ClearKote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze w/ Meg's polishing pad on everything
Sealant - one pass of Poorboy's EX-P w/ Meg's finishing pad
Wheel wells - while I let EX-P do a mini cure (I know it's doesn't do much), I cleaned the wheel wells with Simple Green
LSP - Put on some S100 by hand
Tires/Wheel wells - Hyper dressing on both
Took off S100, hit the tails with PlasticX
Interior - quick pass with some Meg's Quick Interior Detailer

If the pix are too big, say so, and I'll resize.

Nice write up. Don't worry about other people's opinions, you have to start some place and you only get better as you do more cars and gain more experience. The only person's opinion that matter is the owners, were they pleased? Do you have any idea what kind of chin spoiler that is on that car? Kind of reminds me of the Cobra Type R bumpers from the previous body style ...

Thanks guys.

Yea, he was happy.

Don't know about the chin. I'm not sure if it already came with the car when he bought it. I'll try to find out.

No, I think it's just the glare.

Great work and sounds like you have a pretty good process. As Thumper said, you only get better the more vehicles you do. You'll learn alot from the folks in this section, there are some very knowledgable guys. I know personally I have gained much from the folks here and still have a very long ways to go myself.
