I just got off the phone with Rick @ ADS...pretty nice guy (aren't most people when you're giving them $350?)

I talked to him about my truck's paint condition and what I have done so far. His response was pretty similar to all of yours - "you are going to kill yourself doing all of that by hand!" - so we talked through what would work best for me.

Here's what we came up with:

I am going to order some MFs from PakShak to round it all out.

The order is shipping out tomorrow and with the holiday weekend I probably won't get it until Monday or Tuesday

I hate to say this, but I think you should pull out the #80 and the D/A again... You got a LOT of it out, but there is still some pretty good swirling there... maybe it is to your satisfaction though...

yes, yes...it was a LOT of work but i had some time over the weekend and i couldn't take it anymore. anyway, i am proud of what i accomplished by hand and i did say (in another thread) that there are still some serious swirls that i just can't get out...that's why i called Rick!

 

I feel your pain-- I was there once, too.

 

I just ordered 12 MICROPAK 16" x 24" UltraPlush & 6 MICROPAK 16" x 27" UltraSoft-WaffleWeave-MFT to add to my order from ADS. I am going to have more than enough MFs now!

 

My ADS order showed up yesterday!!! I organized all of my product into a rubbermaid1tote and I put all of my MFs, pads, G110, and mitts into another - granted I'm not as organized as those of you with the Craftsman cabinet.

Only bad thing is, I am going crazy wanting to start using all of my new "****" but I don't see a day in sight until next week

My PakShak order is coming today so I am armed and dangerous!

Only kidding... Just don't let that excitement get to you when you finally start using the DA- it requires PATIENCE... Once you get the hang of it though, it's a blast seeing the kind of correction you are capable of.
