What options are there regarding small sections of dash repair. Upon reinstalling my seat guard i f'ed up, and put the screws in too far that hold the power switch into the guard. the screws pushed some of the plastic up, and left protruding white areas along the outside of the dark grey seat guard. it looks like crap.

how would i go about repairing it? is it possible to touch it up w/o sanding it down and respraying it? what should i do about the protruding areas? any help is appreciated. i really don't wanna go the route of replacing it, ford wants $140 for a new seat guard!
