Back seat leather?

Guys, got a new F-150 supercab 2008 with leather seats and am getting ready to lean and condition them for the first time. i have a questions though, are the back seats leather as well? I know in some cars that i have had in the past the front seats would actually be leather and the back seats would be fake leather. I dont want to put anything on my seats that will have a negative effect and i am sure leather conditioner does not work well on things that are not leather.

i'm not 100% sure, but I would have to say that all the seats are covered in the same leather... I would hope that Ford wouldn't use something different in the front than in the back...

My 07 fusion is leather all the way around for sure.

guys??

only where your butt and back in the front seats are covered with leather. the back seats and other parts of the front are fake leather. leather conditioner or cleaner wont harm it though.

Back seats (seating surfaces) should be leather.

In my aunt's 06 Expy, I know that the rear seating surfaces (2nd row) are leather. The trim on the seats is vinyl.

Me too. The whole back seat should be vinyl.

Ok, thanks for the responses. I myself am also fairly sure the back seat is vinyl but was not completly positive. in that case will it cause any harm if i clean and condition the back seats with the same thing i use on the front? (Meguires leather care if that detail matters) Surely someone with leather seats in a Scab has conditioned their seats and can speak from experience.

I know a lot of people don't like it but I really like the Meguiars Leather Cleaner/Conditioner from the D-Line.

It is not the aloe version so i would assume it is the detail line.

Thumper-Just curious why have you heard that people do not like this brand? I have had nothing but good results will all Meguires brand products, however the leather seats in my new truck seem different than the leather in the wifes mustang and that is why i am hesitant to put something on them until i am sure it wont have a negative effect.

Can you find a picture of the bottle? I think we might be talking about two different things. Meguiars makes great products but in all honesty there is better stuff out there. What year and color Mustang does your wife have?

I was wondering this same thing today. If the seats were all leather or just parts of them.
I need to clean the back seats from my sisters dog that I had to baby sit while she was on vacation. Left paw prints all over everything back there.

Am I safe using Lexol products for the cleaner and conditioner on these seats or should I use something else. ?

The leather wipes? Correct? That product is part of the A-Line aka the consumer line-up. The product I'm talking about is part of the D-Line and comes in gallons. Too bad you don't have a Black Mustang. I've got a GT500 spoiler that I need to get rid of !!
