Best Soap?

I know I already have another thread kinda going on out there, but this is a little off the topic, and more on the personal level.

I have been using Megs Gold class car wash and I love. However, I saw online the Megs hyper wash dilutes to 400:1 Isn't that alot of car wash right there? Is it really not comparable to gold class?

It can be diluted that much but you'd have to damn good at diluting to get down to that. A lot of people don't even like it. I've never tried it because of that. Gold Class is an excellent car soap. Super Soap is comparable and is part of the "D-Line". Also DP Xtreeme is amazing. It's by far the best soap I've ever tried. It's expensive though. Try the Poorboy's Super Slick and Suds. I want to try that out next.

Ok I was just wondering about whether it was quality or not, because it seems like that soap would last a while, plus I couldn't find many reviews on here of it. Would you say to stick to Gold class or Super Soap?

I'm going to use up the rest of my GC and Tropi-Care and then I'm going to pick up a foam gun. I would also like to try the Poorboy's and the Super Soap that Thumper has mentioned.

Go over to www.autopia.org and do a search for Duragloss 901. That is their Car Wash Concentrate. IMO (and many others) it is the absolute best OTC car shampoo that you can buy. Fantastic suds, lubricity, cleaning power (yet won't strip LSP), and on top of all that, it smells like cherries. It is available at Carquest, and is reasonably priced. While you're there, pick up some of DG's AquaWax too. Awesome stuff!

I have really enjoyed PB Super slick and suds... You'll be surprised at how slippery it is...

Super soap is supposedly good stuff, too..

Hyper wash is not great but not too bad. It's not a *great* wash, but for high volume, it can be sweet. Keep in mind that at a 400:1 dilution ratio, you have to be VERY precise with your measuring... For folks like me and Brad, this is no big deal-- we both measure to exacting standards, whereas many others use the 'plop and blob' technique (aptly named by RP himself...)

Clear as mud?

f150 sport,

I haven't seen you in a while on here

I measure with a cup I made for my gold class, so I could do the math and make one for Hyper Wash.

If I am washing others cars, I guess it wouldn't be that bad to use, and it would probably be the most cost efficient right? Otherwise I would probably be going through gold class like crazy.

yeah-- been busy.. and some other stuff... But I'd prefer to not derail this thread, too...

That's how I do it... I would do the same for Hyper Wash, only I would probably use a shot glass or similar for it...

As for the last part, you are right on. Honestly, Super soap is pretty good, but if you are washing more than 4 vehicles/times per week, it is WELL worth it to have the cost effectiveness of HyperWash IMO...

Shoot, at some point you may even be able to invest in the chemical metering system! (Well, maybe not... its kinda pricey)

Best soap for what, maintaining a car, or a strong soap for extremely dirty cars.

I've never used Megs Hyperwash, but plan on trying it sometime soon. Currently I'm using Super Soap. It works well and is reasonably priced.
