Now what?

Ok, so I was finally able to give my truck its first full complete detail. I want say thanks to all you guys for the helpful info and $500 hole you put in my wallet buying supplies!

Wash, clay, #80, #21, and topped it off with #16. Pretty impressed if I do say so my self, sorry no pictures.

So now that I got that out of the way, what do I do the next time she's dirty? Is just a wash and QD all thats needed or is there something more to it? How do I tell when to do another complete detail?

Just wash and QD in between details. Also, when the time comes, if you don't want to do a full blown "correction" detail you can use a glaze such as Megs #7 or Poorboys Black Hole to restore a lot of gloss, then wax to protect the shine. It's a lot easier than a corrective detail because the glaze doesn't need to be broken down like abrasive polishes do.

Really it's up to you when to do another detail, but you will probably notice when your truck starts losing the shine you are used to.

Now you are in Maintananice mode.

Keep it looking good. When to do a full detail? Well that is up to you but I don't think you will need it for at least 3 months.

That kind of depends on how it is cared for etc. Garage vs outside, etc.

As MoFord21 pointed out...there are some great products out there to help you between full details.

Poorboys does make such a product, infact several products that can help deepen and conseal micro marring until you are ready to go at it again.

You can apply PB QW+ or Black Hole or White Diamond.

BH is for darker colors while WD is for lighter colors and QW+ is for any color. BH and WD are newer products but QW+ is also good if used properly.

Good luck and make sure you find a way to post photos or you will be banned from the site. Just kidding.

Sort of.

^^Great advice. Detail maintenance is the key to keeping the glossy look.
