I do no more then lightly mist water, normally with my Mr. Clean filtered water. If you don't feel like ordering Hyperdressing online, Turtle Wax F21 tire foam will get you nearly identical results (no dust sticking, nice new looking motor compartment). Hyperdressing at 1:1 will look shinier, but, most people on here don't even use it at 1:1 for motor bays anyway. I used to use WD40 - looked good too, but holy dust magnet batman! F21 or Hyperdressing and you'll be alright.

what about steam cleaning? i have a buddy that works at a dealership and they steam clean all the used cars and he will do my engine for free



that was almost 2 years ago.....

that was almost 2 years ago.....

I would still hit it with a APC type product first....as long as the steamer isn't pressurized you should be ok. I have seen this before and if you do it, please post the results.
