Does the flex require a different backing plate than G100? I am thinking about making the switch too.

I think you'll enjoy the flex when cleaning and the Maggie when driving!

It comes with its own backplate to my knowledge. Last line says it.

From ADS:

The orbital rotation of this innovative polisher simulates the circular movement of the human hand while polishing. At the same time, the polisher's highly smooth running facilitates a careful, precise finish and even offers what is necessary for hologram-free polishing. That's just what this polisher, with its ergonomically designed **** handle, was made for. The positive drive ensures a uniform movement, even under load, thanks to constant lift. Taken in conjunction with the large stroke length there is also the possibility of removing existing holograms from black finishes. Thanks to the direct orbital drive, very little heat develops on the surface, which is ideally suited to temperature-sensitive finishes. The accelerator trigger switch and speed selection allow for a controlled acceleration to the optimal speed. Note: the machine's orbital movement has been optimally adapted for the special back pad included with it.

I've never had the g100 but you will love the flex. I love the variable trigger, say you have it on speed three you can start off slow and work up to full speed of speed three. There is a learning curve with it but you will pick it up pretty quick after you use it a couple times. I also ordered mine from ADS, did you get any pads with it? Follow what these guys say on here and you will have great results, they really do know there stuff.

Well congrats......
I can't wait for my flex to show up. It arrives today, so we will see how much damage/good I can do with it the first time out. Good thing I have a donor vehicle for my first time using it!

I will but the fresh paint needs 90 days before waxing, gives me enough time to save up some more money. But than I remember all of the other stuff I want like a hood, mirrors, side scoops, window louvers. The list never ends ...

Welcome to the Flex club fellas.

It will change your life....well not really, but it is nice.

My only word of advice for the new flex owners...the flex will walk on you a few times until you understand it. Key is to keep the pad flat on the surface.

PS being able to pulse the trigger is really slick...

Have fun with the new toys.

I tried mine last night! I AM IN LOVE WITH THAT MACHINE!!!! We had some pretty wicked storms roll through last night so I didnt get to finish the job so I will have to try it again tonight. I managed to get the tailgate done! It was amazing, how well it worked. So congrats and after the first use there is no going back.
