Plastic above front bumper

OK. I've got a quick question about the plastic above the front bumper. Tomorrows detail customer decided to remove stubborn bugs from the front end with Turtle Wax rubbing compound on her BLACK truck. Should I treat the plastic any differently than the painted portion of the bumper?

Is that area painted or black plastic?

If it is painted and pending how deep she went with the compound, treat it the same with some caution...that plastic painted parts have less paint on them.

I am not totally sure what part you are talking about...presume this is a F150?

This is on an '05 FX4 F-150. I was afraid that the paint might be a little thinner on the painted plastic part.

I'll get some pics of the areas tomorrow. It's not pretty.

Dues it just look real dull from the compound? If so you could use SSR1 to polish it out...but use caution.

Did she go through the clear?
