people in this section are nuts!

I have been reading some of the posts in here and have decided that you guys are nuts! If you guys saw my truck after a weekend of fishing and driving through the country to get to the fishing holes y'all would have a heart attack. Or maybe y'all would get excited about the oppurtunity to clean. Either way I know I can ask anything about cleaning if I had to with you guys around. Thank God for OCD people.

Where in Tejas are you?

Nuts? Not really. OCD, well, that's a different story.

I first thought most of you were. But then I thought about it. I wish I had the dedication to do what you guys do I like it when my truck looks good. But I live in Az, so once you clean it after about 10 mins of driving its dirty again. Plus doing all that work in the summer sucks. Aint no way I would go through all that in 100+ degree weather. And dont say do it at night cuz its still 100 outside with no sun. Oh well, my truck gets a wash about every 2-3 months.

I'm right there with ya if it wasnt for automatic car washes it would never get done besides it's kinda funny to see someone lean against my truck (WICH I HATE) and then walk away with a nice white coating on their clothes

All I've got to say is maybe we're not the ones who are nuts. Maybe it's the people who spend thousands of dollars on a vehicle and turn around and don't take top notch care of it ..

my 99 is a rescue from a lumber company I was working for the tranny was acting up and they were getting ready to junk it. I gave them $600 for it and after a tranny rebuild and several other things that a truck with 206000mi should get done i have maybe $2100 in it and i dont have a problem with tossing greasy/dirty/nasty stuff in the back. Now that being said if i bought a brand new truck i'de be on that thing with a toothbrush and q-tips to keep on top of it

My truck is usually covered in mud for a couple days. Yesterday I went fishing and went through some nice little mud holes on the way down to the river. Havent had time to clean it. I may make it to the car wash today but it isn't uncommon for the mud to stay on there for a few days. I kinda like the look of a dirty truck. But I do keep my interior VERY clean.

I must say, my friends all call me nuts for waking up at 6 am so I can catch first morning light to wash my truck every single sat. I even go as far as to wipe it down every day with quick detailer! But I will say I get a ton of compliments on it and to me makes it worth every single one of the times I have been called crazy!

i vacum my dash about once a year with the little round brush attachement. That works pretty good.

I also wash it about one a year. I still have some mud on the inside of my passanger door from some minor mudding last Sept. My passangers complain everytime when they get in, drop the window and put their arm on the window opening and get their shirt dirty!

Go brag about that in the offroading section, this isn't the place for it.

I just threw up in my mouth. Thanks! Now I'll have that nasty, burning taste in my mouth for the rest of the day.
