Birds attacking mirrors????

I assume I am not the only one with this problem. Little suckers fight with my mirrors and then crap all down the door. Anyone have a solution? Other than a garage (can't afford) or shooting the birds (so many it would be useless)....lol.

Tie plastic grocery bags over them when you park it.

No Way!!!!! I thought I was the only one that had that problem. I hate the stupid things pecking at your mirrors and pooping all over the place. I put plastic grocery bags on when they attack, but its annoying... I can't think of any other solution. I would try to shoot them, but If I missed I would hit my truck haha

.22 caliber rifle with short rounds in it.

Doesn't even sound like a gun going off. Just don't shoot your truck.

One crashes into my house window constantly.

It's Spring, they are nesting and territorial.
They will attack and drive out competitors that are within their territory.
That is what the see in the glass.

there is probably a nest near by( probably within 20-30 ft. Get rid of it and they will probably move on. Thats what happened to me.

Fold your mirrors in when you get out of the truck.

I'm not a rich man.
Do you have any idea how much groceries I'd have to buy to get a bag that big?

Go over to Wallymart and dig a couple bags out of the recycle barrel.

I hate to say it but get a cat. The same thing was happened to me and it stoped when my sister got a cat. It was inside/outside all the time and about two weeks after she got it the damn birds started disappering. Finally she did something to help me out.

Thanks for the replies guys. I feel like an idiot...I knew why the birds were doing it but I didn't even think about covering or moving my mirrors so they can't see themselves. I'm allergic to cats and I have outside dogs so I think I will try the bag trick!
