Everything I've tried runs in the rain, or heavy fog, or humidity changes when everything starts sweeting.

Are you talking about the weather stripping around the windows? I'm not sure about that, because I usually just leave those alone. As for the rest of the exterior trim Vinylex and Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer can be found at auto parts store. If you apply it in very thin coats and blot dry, it shouldn't run too awefully bad in the rain. You cannot get it at a local store, but Tropi-Care Rubber and Tire Dressing has always been one of my favorite products for exterior trim. After reading posts from RR, RP, and Thumper I went to a local Meguiar's distributor and loaded up on products like All Purpose Cleaner and Hyper-Dressing. Maybe you could find a similar distributor in your area. Once you've used these products you will never go back to "over-the-counter" consumer products.

I dont think stoners Trim Shine runs... Didnt notice any runs last night in the rain.

Also, Natural Shine doesnt run. I used that or a LONG time before I went for some other stuff. I still like it, though.

Both are availible at WalMart and Autozone.

I will try to think of more products today.

As for the smooth rubber type trim around the windows I just wax it when I wax the truck. It comes right off and leaves nothing behind. I always use a seperate towel to wipe it off those areas as some black residue comes off. For the textured black plastic (like on the mirrors and B pillar) I just occassionaly use a very light application of Hyperdressing. You obviously can't get wax on this textured stuff or else it won't come off.

I use Meguiars Trim Detailer with good luck. Wipe the excess before any water sees it though otherwise it WILL run.

To the OP

Looking at this post again...a question comes up. Why not order products for what you are seeking?

If were looking to order something that changes things alot.

As others have suggested, good products that have min run or won't run are:
Megs HD
PB Trim Restorer
BlackWow

Uhhh... When I tried Endurance Gloss Gel and when I tried Hot Shine Gel, they didnt run, and are VERY shiny...But they attract dust like NO OTHER. That is one disadvantage to the shine-- it attracts dust since there must be a semi-liquid (read: gel/gel-like) layer for it to shine like that.

Stoners Trim shine gets it pretty shiny, and it didnt run after last nights rain.

Whatever you do DO NOT use extreme tire shine on it. I did that once, and while it looked phenominal when I applied it, it was whole other story after the dew got it in the morning. It totaly looked like ***.

...I havent seen it after dew, but it was windy the next day...My rails were yellow from the pollen. It ALL stuck there. If I was indoors for a photo shoot, I think I would use a tire gel as mentioned above, but otherwise, stick to the tried and true... My $.02
