DA pad question.

What are the comparable Lake Country pads to the Megs 9006 and 8006. I'm looking to apply #80, #9, and 2.0

Well, the 9006 is a soft buff finishing pad.

So with Lake you could use a Black or Blue

The Megs 8006 is a polishing pad, so that would be a White Lake

Hope that helps

PS, White is the workhorse of Lake Pads. It's a great pad, if you get one, get another.

I have 4 White pads.

I posted before about more cut than #80, could I get more cut with a different pad rather than changing products?

Honestly I have done some tests using MEgs 80 on different pads. You could/can get more cut by using the Lake Green. At some point you are going to get marring and dulling...not from the product but from the pad, which you will have to polish out...so its kind of a double edge sword.

You may want to try other Megs products with what you have, after all they are designed about that.

Or you could step to PB SSR1 and try that with the Green Lake, then polish that out with Megs 80 on the 8006.

To better judge I would have to see the surface.

With proper procedure, the chemical that you utilize should only account for approximately 25% of the overall result.

My point, Poorboys, Meguiar's, Menzerna or whatever cow urine of choice will perform using Lake, Meg's or Billy Bob's Pad Factory pads if you're using the right technique...

If you're asking what I'd use.... oh, wait a minute, you didn't ask. I won't shove it down your throat (as some have implied).

Ehhh... I'm tired of all the drum banging as of late. I just need to push away from this place for a good long while... it's really not all that fun anymore.

#80... W-8006 100% of the time.
#9... W-8006 or W-9006 (just depends on what I'm trying to accomplish or what the problem at hand is...)

So if I want to try Lake pads, your saying I gotta try Poorboys swirl removers? I'm not shy to order something to try. I just hear so much about lake pads, I wanna try them. How bout lake pads, SSR1 and white diamond for my silver truck? what color pads now?

Huh? I didn't say that. I think you're thinking about the 'other' Rock.

For the SSR1, White Diamond combo -- it'd probably be a White Lake pad...

Although many people caution against this, if you are EXTREMELY careful, you can try the 7006 with the #80. just be careful and watch the paint very closely.

You dont have to use Lake Country pads with PB, its just RR's preferance. SSR1 you can use green pad, I think. White diamond, search for RR's thread on it and see what he used.
