Well it was around 50 today so I thought I'd tackle the future wifes cavalier. To catch everyone up to speed, I bought a DA and some products and used them for the 1st time on her fender. I was happy with the results but was waiting for the weather to finish the car.
I did 2 passes of #80, 1 pass of #9, 1 coat of NXT 2.0, and a coat of #16 on the hood not the whole car. Here are some pics:

Before, notice swirls:

 

After the passenger side of the hood was done, notice swirls on driver side but not passenger:







It turned out nice.

 

What about the rest of the car !?

It got to dark for pics. I pulled it out after I did the one side of the hood so I would have some pics to post.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm just trying to log some hours on the DA before I go after my dads black CTS V.

 

Black is tricky....I recommend doing several tests on small sections but other than that, you should be pretty good to go based on what you did with the red ride.
