Restoring Bug Deflector

My Ford OEM bug deflector has been pretty neglected and is dull. Is there anything I can do to restore it's new look?

Is it just the tinted plastic? If so, I haven't seen or heard of anything that can bring it back. You may be best off re-painting it or buying a new one.

Somebody else more knowledgeable will chime in - I'm just a post ***** and I'm bored at work.

lol ya it's just tinted plastic. It's not in really bad shape, but it's the most dull part of the vehicle by far.

Try PlastX with a foam pad on a rotary.

Have done it except with a drill instead of rotary. Worked like a charm.

Is it possible to get the drill head pads and attachment locally or do I have to get it online?

Cool... all i want them for is a couple of bug deflectors and headlights.... still on my search for a cheap DA. So I really don't have anything to compare it to.

I just use the high speed polisher and wax and it comes out looking new. Works great on the head lights and tail lights too.

If you buy the #2 heavy duty headlight restoration kit from ADS, it includes the drill backing plate, a foam pad, and PlastX, among other things. I just bought a kit to do some headlights on my stepdaughter's van, I'm going to start a thread with a complete review.
