What kind of wax would you recommend for a fire engine?

I will take a stab at this seeing that I am in a fire department myself.

I would think that Collinite 845 Insulator wax would be a good suggestion.

My understanding of the product is that it does last longer than most waxes, needs to be put on very thin so that it is not a bear to try to remove. There are others (RP, RR, 2stroked) to name a few that have used this and may have some more information and possible other suggestions.

BTW- once the weather breaks and warms up some, I will be having some 'learning' time with the 845.

another vote for the collonite. From what I understand it was originaly made for fleet vehicles and for durability/protection.

Also I have been hearing a lot of people in the colder climates like mine that have salt used on the roads to melt snow / ice are using it due to the durability. I beleive that this was originally used in the boat industry for the same reasons.
