I've always used dish soap just before a detail if I plan to wax right then even with a clay bar although it seems the clay removes the old wax coat. After that, NEVER use dish soap until the wash right before your next wax. Use dedicated car wash concentrate. I cringe when I see neighbors using Dawn to wash their cars everytime although they are the same people who never wax their cars, use a brush to wash the paint with, and let them sun dry....Arghh!!!!

I agree...I bought a bunch a quality microfiber towels a few weeks ago and tried them out for the first time today for drying and removing wax. Work great!

I just bought a 3 pack of Megs microfiber cloths from ADS and a 12 pack of the general cleaning yellows from Autogeek, because I needed the DP foam soap.

You're telling me ... you don't have to use near as much as you do with a soap like Meguiars Gold Class if you're using it for your foam gun.
