Need Your Help!

I have a 2002 silver f150.The paint has pretty bad swirls, and the paint on the bumpers is starting to look white ish color. (sorry no photos). I would like to use the products I have in my garage (product are as followed, Clay bar, megs step 1 deepcrystal paint cleaner, megs step 2 deepcrystal polish, and NXT tech wax, and a no namer 6 speed DA.... My question is do i use the clay bar first? and second what pad should I use, and what speeds do i use the pads and with what product.. oh also where can I by the pads?

Thanks

George.

Sorry forgot to mention I also have Megs scratch X.

Please read the detailing sticky. That should answer all of your questions.

Generally accepted order would be

Clay
Step 1 DC /w polishing pad
Step 2 DC /w polishing pad or finishing pad
NXT /w finishing pad

I can't say anything on DA speed because there might be a difference between yours and the G100. There is a sheet that tells speeds for G100. that might give you a reference point.

disclaimer: I believe (not sure) there is a big difference between DA's like the G100 and the DA's made for sanding. If yours was made for sanding I'd think long and hard about using it as a polisher, and make sure it'll be appropriate.

Where would you put ScratchX in that order - between the DC step 1 and 2?

Before the DC 1. And, even then, I'd probably only use it on a 'spot fix' basis.
