RP - my bottle shows the dilution ratio based on the location of the slide. I used both the proper ratio and the proper location of the slide.

The far right one was 12oz./gal, so 3oz/quart. That gave me the best foam, but went fairly quickly. I believe the water pressure at my house is a little high. That may be why it was going through the bottle so quickly. It took 2 bottles to do my truck. (I was spraying a lot.)

The kicker is that most car wash shampoos are to be diluted at around 1oz per gallon so, you're using TWELVE TIMES too much. Can you imagine putting 12 times too much mustard on your sandwich or 12 times too much oil in your crankcase?

Hence, the reason you wasted through two canisters full of soap.

The directions I have -- which I swear I'm going to scan and post just as soon as I can get out in my tool box and dig them out -- that'll occur after I get the kiddo to sleep -- were kind of useless as well.

I can tell you that my gun is made by Gilmour and was purchased from ADS.

I think the majority of us are talking about the slide dilution settings, right?

Yes thats the same dilution settings. I assume you have yours set to 1oz/gal then. Based upon what autogeek said (2oz of soap) and i have the hg, wouldnt i have it set on the middle setting 4oz/gal?

I'm not sure.... now I'm confused a tad.

My assumption (and we both know how that goes) was that, for whatever chemical I was placing in the bottle, I should go with the proper ratio for THAT chemical.

So, if the shampoo that I'm using (I last used Shampoo Plus (D-111) is 128:1 (128 ounces water to 1 ounce Shampoo Plus = this equals 1 gallon of water per one ounce of Shampoo Plus), I placed my setting on the 1-128 setting or 1oz/gallon.

I agree RP. Based upon my calculations and what autogeek says about the DP formula, its 32:1. It would differ by the product and I cannot think of a single one where it would be 10:1. It just depends what your using. Attworth did you use gold glass, DP, or ???

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I'm using the Super Soap that came with the kit. I went off of what's on the foamer bottle. I have no idea what the soap recommendation is because they didn't send it in a labeled bottle.
