Meguiars NXT wax????

I bought a bottle of this stuff yesterday from walmart, Gonna wash tomorrow then apply the wax. Has anyone used this? If so what do you think? Would I have been better served with good ol fashioned turtle wax? I know meguiars is a good brand, but wanted a heads up from my fellow f150ers.

Its the only wax I use anymore on my black f150.The others would shine it just fine but would seem to wash off after the first hand wash.NXT also seems to hide the spider webbing that shows up in dark colored vehicles also aespecially black and with the other waxs ,it showed up after the first wash but not with NXT.Money well spent in my opinion.

NXT is an excellent synthetic sealant. It makes anything from Turtle look like crap. NXT 2.0 is even better than the original.

However, before you decide to just "wash and wax" your truck, you would be well served by reading the sticky thread and downloading the detailing guide. To do the job right, there are a few intermediate steps that should be done between the "wash" and the "wax".

Check out the pics I have. The ones on the top are NXT and the bottom ones are Turtle wax. Either one will give a nice shine but the NXT seems to be more durable and lasts longer.

I picked up a tin of this stuff for $7.50 at Meijer. It was a hell of a deal I thought, now I just need some warm weather so I can use it

The reason it was marked down is that's the original - NXT 2.0 is now out and replacing it.

Not sure if they have it any longer but, they used to make a product called Emerald (I think that's what it was called)... Believe it or not, it wasn't too shabby.

And... remember... Rain Dance wax used to impress the heck out of some people -- and certainly still would a lot of people. It's all subjective, folks. There's no perfect product to everyone. We all have choices...

It was the Emerald Series, Rock, as opposed to just one product called Emerald. It came in a wash, wax and I think a window cleaner and mag polish, though I'm not certain about the third and forth.

The Emerald Series hasn't been around for [I'm guesstimating] about 6 years.... maybe more; at least I haven't seen it on the shelves since about 2002-03.

And yes, the Turtle Wax Emerald Paste Wax was awesome! The only catch was, even if you applied it [super] thin, and waited just the precise time, the paste's residue could still become a PITA to deal with.... as I found out a few times before I nailed it.

If you went a little overboard in your application, you were screwed!

The finished product, however, was as fine as I've seen to date.

Ahhh, old school...
