You're not going to find a DA in that price range I'm afraid. If you must have a machine then you'll have to settle for an orbital. But those are two very different animals.

If you spent a little more cash you could get a PC 7424 on ebay.

What about grandparents? Do you have a job? If you can't afford it, than do it by hand.

I have both the Porter Cable 7424 and the Sears orbital. PC with an inventory of pads runs approx $140.00 or more depending on selection and number of pads. The Sears costs approx $55.00, again the selection and number of pads adjusts the cost.

I use the Sears to do the major wax removal, then come back with the PC and fine tune the wax job.

I surely understand the shortage of funds. Try the Sears orbital. Actually I like both my orbitals for their purpose, but the "Big Boys" like saying they have a Porter Cable.

Hint: I put an old terry cloth towel between the orbital pads and the wax to do the major removal of wax. This saves gumming up the orbital pads and having to change the pads so often in-between wax removal.

G100. Yes it's a good choice. Its the sister to the PC 7424, same machine, however, the G100 comes with a Lifetime warranty.

I took my chances and have two 7424's.

I am going to check out the Flex in 08.

I'd say if you can't afford to buy a PC now, you don't wanna get one yet.

I'm trying to find the money for all the product to last me about a year or so BEFORE I buy a PC.

Bout to throw about 100$ into some MF though.. Ouch...
