Xtreem Final Detail Review

Used XFD for the first time today.... omg.... Amazing!!!

I've used two other QD's before (RR, what were those again?) and this one is far superior. It feels like I'm not even touching the truck with anything. Absolutely awesome..

Oh, and RP, the "sheeting" and waffle weave towels worked great.

LOL, I knew you would like it.

You used Megs Last Touch and Megs #34.....and you loved the 34 over LT. Final Detail is pretty impressive.

So, you washed....lets see how its holding up? Photos?

Guess I can review it too. It is now my favorite.

I've used QD, UQD, #34, and XFD. Might just be the way I used it but #34 seemed to leave a haze that I could only see in direct reflection, I like QD and I couldn't see a whole lot of difference between QD and UQD. Certainly not enough offset the cost.

I was suprised at how XFD seemed to make my metalic pop. From a distance I can't normally tell it is a metalic. Then after XFD I came out of a store yesterday in bright sun and could actually see the metalic popping from 30+ yards away. No haze, smells purdy and the thing still looks freshly washed.

5 stars!

There are lots of great products out there but, Final Detail continues to rank way up there when it comes to QD's in my book!

I'll get some pics tomorrow. It's holding up very well. I did notice slight micro marring, but I think it's just remnants of before the detail. I was in direct sunlight when I looked at it so that doesn't help.

I did try something new this time when I washed.

I parked the truck so one half of it was completely in the shade. I washed and dried that side, then turned the truck around and did the other side. The hood was tricky do I let my girlfriend "sheet" the water off while I'll hurried by with the WW. Turned out great!

I then QD'd in the same fashion.

Oh, RR, that Hyperdressing is still looking really nice. Especially under the hood. I popped it today to jump someone and I was amazed.

Your engine should look like that for months. I popped mine the other day and it still looked good...It was back in Oct when I last sprayed it. No lie.

If you can get some photos of that marring in the sun I would like to see it.

Personally I think you need to go at it again in the next 3 months. Once that is done, you should be good to go with 95% improvement pending you don't' add more.

My plan is for a Mid-April or Early May re-do... pending on my trip to colorado.

The only "scratches" I intend to add will be those from work or those in the boonies. No more marring of my own doing.

I'll get some good pics with my D50 tomorrow after class.
