Bulk Microfiber

Anyone buy microfiber in packs or bulk? If so what are some trusted brands? Obviously meguiar's has some good MF towels. But I am looking for at least 12 packs for cheap.

I buy bulk...I know a place that sells top notch MF and right now you can get a 10% discount. What is your "cheap price" per towel and size you want?

Was this question back to me or RockPick? People do get us confused.

If the question was back to me...i get my MF's from Specialty Motoring, they are in South Texas. No link just search for them.

ADS has a good buy on bulk towels also .. 100 16x16 for 69 bucks .. I have about 80 of these towels, and have been pleased with them .. good quality, and they seem to stand up well to the laundry

I'm not looking for car wash size bulk. Just like 20 or so.

RR, I checked out their website and wanted to ask if you have any of the Big Ol' Waffle Weave Towels. What's your opinion on them? I'm looking for a quality drying towel. Thanks.

EDIT: Also, how does their 16x24 towel compare to Meg's Supreme Shine MF?

I have the Meg's Waffle Weave as well and wasn't too impressed with them. I found that if I use two of them (one to get the bulk of the water and one to do the final dry, I get much better results) but I expected them to soak up the water a little better.

I have a huge waffle weaved MF towel; got it from Auto Zone. I can blot my entire truck dry with it, ringing it out maybe once if it's really wet. (I do use a different towel to dry the rims other chrome or stainless steel, and the windows however)

And i know this is off topic, but my brother got one of the lamb skin drying cloths.. That thing soaks up A LOT of water.. Just was wondering peoples thoughts on it.

While you'll hear of a bajillion different towels out there on the market, you'll also hear a bajillion different opinions because we, as warm-blooded Americans, have a bajillion choices...

I've tried several towels -- not quite a bajillion nor the number that Boss_429 has tried -- but, several.

I keep coming back to a few of the old stand-by's...

First, I really like a towel that was sold by Dwayne at PAC for several years but has since been dropped from the mix -- that said, I won't comment much more on it (called the Big Blue II)... anyway....

Another towel that I go to with GREAT frequency is the DF Towel from Domonique Motorsports (www.dftowel.com). This is a FANTASTIC towel (top of the line, in my opinion) for last step product removal. It's not that great for QD products but, fore LSPs, it's tops. Please note, this towel isn't cheap but, you are getting what you pay for in my opinion.

Another towel that gets the nod with great frequency is the bulk blue towel from www.autodetailingsolutions.com . The towel comes at around a buck or two each and really is a great towel... in fact, for the price, I don't know that anyone out there can touch it -- again, in my opinion.

For drying, I'm still a huge proponent of the Water Magnet towel from Meguiar's. While I understand that many have had a tad of disappointment with them, there are countless others that love them. While it's not going to have the absorbency of a chamois or similar, it is going to offer a high-pile type of texture that will allow for 'gunk' to accumulate within the pockets rather than being drug across your paint over and again - thus, inducing problems (swirls, etc). Using this towel for BLOT drying is ideal... it's not a good 'drag it around your paint to dry your truck' towel -- none of them are (hint: because that's poor technique).

Another 'go to' towel for me is the Sonus Der Wunder. Again, a fantastic towel that is nearly 100% lint-less (the mark of a quality towel -- no broken polymide fibers!). For a QD spray or something similar (last step product removal), it's great stuff. The Der Wunder drying towel is pretty darn nice too...

Pakshak's Micropak towels are pretty darn nice too...

Geesh... shall I go on?

While I've not tried every towel on the market (I honestly think that Boss_429 has -- really, this guy is a towel EXPERT), I've tried several... those are the ones that sit atop my plastic towel storage bins as they are the ones that get used the most often....
