Clearcoat overspray

Well I was looking at my truck this morning in the bright sunlight, and apparently the dude that was painting his honda bumper last night got a small portion of clearcoat that he oversprayed on my truck tailgate. I talked to him and he said he would give me however much it cost to fix it. He used an aersol clearcoat can. Any ideas how I can get it off? I would like to not spend a whole bunch and not use a whole bunch of time, just get it off the right way and be done with it.

Clay will likely remove it if it's simple 'rattle can' overspray. Be reminded, clearcoat is just clear paint - generally speaking.

If the overspray is minor - as it sounds that it is - clay should get it.

Ok, well i ordered a bunch of stuff from ads last night and I got the blue clay, i hope this will be strong enough since I already tried using the normal megs clay (yellow kind) and nothing happened.

Whatever the kind is that comes in the box that has the carnuba wax and quick detailing spray. It appears to be "yellow" to me. Maybe im just color blind. I know its the more mild clay bar.

I think he's talking about the White Clay or he's talking about Mother's Yellow Clay.

The Professional Mild clay is a bit stronger than the regular white clay. The blue will usually do the trick on overspray like that.
