The hood of my trucks looks like someone gave the paint stitches. I have about 20 spots that look exactly like stitches. It has a lone line ranging from 1/4" to 1/2" then has a bunch of little lines running across the long line. So i guess my question is has anyone else seen this on their trucks.

 

I will break it to you first since I am the first to respond. The 'ELDERS' that will respond to this will ask for PICTURES.

 

Exactly what I was thinking. Not going to be able to help much without seeing the problem.

 

Sorry im getting pictures when i find my camera, it just pissed me off after i spent all that time washing, polishing and then waxing. I at first thought it was just threads from my towel since it was new, but when it was when i started to wax the hood when i noticed it so i had to go elsewhere and work on something else.

 

Sounds like water etching but as others have already pointed out...sight unseen is very difficult to tell you a solution.

if you find your camera, post as good of photos as you can.

It would also help to know what products you have used in the past and how the truck is stored....

Does it look like a pig tail? "curls"?

 

No it doesnt really look like pigtails although some have a curve. But i found my camera in while i was packing to headback to school so as soon as i get some good light ill get some good pictures.
