First detail using DA

Finally got to detail my truck over last weekend.. My wife bought me Meg's DA from ADS for my bday and I had ordered a bunch of products from ADS.

History on the truck... 05 black supercab with 6.5 bed that lives outside. Took pretty good care of the truck the first year staying up on top of washing's and waxing the truck. The past year I been way 2 busy to anything with the truck between full time day job , side home improvement business, bought new house and doing updating and my baby girl..

In other words the truck needed some help and I was going to pay to have it detailed but I do enjoy working on my own stuff.

I used the following products:

Meg's stuff -
gold car wash ( 2 bucket with grit guards in each)
clay bar
#80 (one pass with a 8006 pad - I wanted to do 2-3 but limited time)
#9 (8006)
#21 (9006)
#26 (2 coats with 9006 pad)
NTX (wheels and running boards)
Hot tire shine

Here is a link to some before and after pictures. I did not get the best of pictures since it was over cast the day I washed the truck and it was getting dark when I was finally finished. I was hoping to get some good ones the next morning but I woke up to rain and a dirty truck.

This was my fav picture of the hood

Thats hilarious that it rained the next morning. I check the weather before I wash my truck now. If it is going to rain in the next day or two then I hold off. It is good to wash it, but I like to look at it for a couple days.

Good Job by the way!

Weather did not call for rain that night. Oh well it happens and it still looked good wet..

Hell yeah it made me smille.. I was pissed about the rain bc all the work that went in to the truck the days before. It was realy cold here this week but this weekend they are calling for high 40's low 50's so I will be washing again..

I got the bug again for taking care of my cars just like when I was younger and I washed my carsalmost daily and my old neighbors thought I was crazy. Now I just need to work on my wifes SUV.
