Ultimate Quick Detailer on plastic trim?

With previous QD's, I saw streaks, etc. on plastic trim if the trim was exposed to the qd, but this hasn't been the case with uqd. So, I started using it on everything. I even coat my wheel wells with it after they're cleaned. It works real well, even removing wax from the plastic. I am just wondering if anyone else has done/does do this or if there are any problems with doing this.

Thanks

I don't see any problems with using the product that way. However, I don't know if I'd use a product like UQD to coat the wheel wells. Not that it will hurt anything, it just won't hold up long.

Its a little expensive for the wheel wells? I think a more economical option is some el cheapo tire shine..it will really darken them up

Concured...

The wheel wells are where most of the dressings that I've given a try that I didn't like go to die.

I bet I've used 10 gallons of Eagle One Tire Wet -- all 10 gallons in little bitty spray bottles that came with the Eagle One Tire Swipes that I know and love.

I agree about the wheel wells thing... I use HD there...

Anyway, speaking of UQD, I just bought some of it and some NXT 2.0... Has anybody found any problems with UQD streaking?

As of right now, my LSP on there was Tropicare spray carnauba wax (a sampler JP gave me-- its black nasty stuff, and I hate it, although it does darken the paint really nice, it is a PITA to work with... needs to not be a spray). Under that, there is some Optimum spray wax (carnauba+synthetic, also a sampler-- liked it). Under that is Nattys Blue (applied 10-27-2007) and under that is PB polish + Sealant (also applied 10-27-2007).

As for NXT 2.0, I was going to slap some on the truck today to try it out, but I am sick today, and the weather is 42* (but with the wind it feels like 39*, so says the weather channel), so not only will there be problems with the wax itself, I dont want to get sicker... guess I will be waiting till next weekend at best.

Nah, I've never had problems with it streaking, but I've only used it with NXT and NXT 2.0 now. It works really well with those. I actually use it as my only qd, and I use lots of it. You should enjoy it. It really does make the water bead like crazy, and I notice a significant amount of additional shine with it (on my black truck).
