Ever been egged??
Ever been egged??
yeah it sucks being in high school now days, b*tches like to throw eggs and crap at your truck for no reason just to be funny. So i was wondering if anyone knows what i can get this crap off with? I powerwashed most of it but still some spots that i can't get, and also what's a good chrome wheel cleaner because they hit a rim to. thanks .
Yep-- been egged several times. After powerwashing and washing with normal wash solution, break out the claybar and the abrasive polish. Granted, it may not take all this-- sometimes you get to it fast enough such that it takes a LOT less. BTW-- a good coat of wax on the paint will help a little.
As for the chrome, you need to:
1. wash (sounds like you did this)
2. Clay
3. Test to see if clearcoated. To do so, use some scratch-X on it with a terry cloth or MF towel. If it comes off black, they are NOT cleared. If this is the case, follow sub-step A. If it comes off white, follow directions above for paint.
A. Use a good chrome polish to clean the rims. Do a search for the good ones-- I have chrome rims, but they are cleared, so I havent the foggiest as to how to clean them that well. I typically use brasso for customer cars. As of yet, I have only needed that. (If worse comes to worse and your search is fruitless, there is always Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum polish-- probably not for you, NXT All metal polysh, Heavy Metal Polish, etc...)

When we were kids and just started driving we had an egg fight in a field. Didn't wash it off my Dart til the next day. Never did get the stains out of the Red. Darn stupid kids.
Only thing that ever stained my paint worse was clay from a mud run that was left on Grey for a few days. Ruined my Bronco paint with all the dark spots.
New paint fixes all.

Guess I'm a lucky egging victim... Roof of my truck got hit with an egg. I have no idea how long it was on the paint, but I'd say less than 10 hours. I washed it off with warm water and a rag, and I still don't have any visible damage, although time will tell.
