Coffee spill

Hey guys, my girl friend was driving our new Pontiac G5 (5600 KM on it) and she spilled her coffee on the floor of the car. She tried to hide it from me and tried washing it out with carpet cleaner and now it stinks like carpet cleaner and has coffee smears on the carpet.

How can I get rid of that cleaner smell and clean the carpet

I would try Folex. You can get it from your local Wal-Mart. I am amazed at what it can do.

Get a bottle of Megs Quik Out. I used it on a coffee stain in my truck from the prev. owner (stain was there for YEARS), and it came right out. FYI: It smells pretty bad, though, if you use a lot. So, use it, let the inside dry out completely, then use your favorite air conditioner. I chose febreeze, but its up to you.

if its on the floor mat, take it to the car wash and power wash it with the soap, and let it dry out

Once you get the stain out, please do yourself a favor. You say the vehicle is new. No matter. Thoroughly clean all of the carpeting. After that, get yourself some Scotch-Guard and seal up that carpeting. Spills will then be much easier to deal with.
