Removing Vent Visor Residue

Ok I need a little help with removing the adhesive form where my vent visors were. I removed them about 2 weeks ago and havent really been able to make a big dent in removing the aftermath. Is there something yall know of that is really good with removal, because this stuff is on there good. I tried the heat gun tactic and goo gone but no luck. Thanks in advance

If you go the GG route, be sure to rewax all affected areas as GG will strip everything - not just goo.

Wet Sand?

I feel retarded asking but what is a vent visor? I know what a vent is and I know what a visor is but I can't think of any vents on my truck that have visors. Is it a KR thing?

See the smoked plastic visors over his side windows in the picture of the (nice) truck? Those are generally called Vent Visors. They allow you to crack a window open - even when it's raining - to vent the truck. They're generally held on with double sided trim tape.

As for wet sanding - NO!

I bought a old police cruiser back in the summer that had the decals taken off (just the color) and all the residue was still there. Goo Gone (let it soak in, use a spray bottle and saturate the hell out of it) and a Window Scraper. Use a small one with a razor blade. Be very careful as this can easily scratch and dig into the paint and you can have a mess. Goo Gone will work in the same method with the blade with lots of elbow grease and a Terry Cloth Towel. Wax after you are done with the Goo Gone.

Yeah the stuff wasnt budging much. I think since i have the sticky part of it removed and now its just the film left, im going to just buy a set of avs visors and put them over it. I orignally did this to do in-channels but oh well. Thanks again for the help guys.
