Under body question

Hey everyone,

Just a quick question. Whats the best method of covering up rust spots on the under body of my truck? A few little sections here and there have some rust building up (I live in New England), so I'd like to cover them up or something to that extent.

BEST method (assuming no sanding) is POR-15

Next to that, Rust Oleum.

Is POR-15 only available through their website? Also, I don't see any spray-type applications.

Maybe Rust Oleum will be my best bet.

I just use Rust Oleum spray. Just finished spraying the majority of the frame, rear end, etc. Looks nice

Clean up the rust spots best as you can, and hit 'er up with some flat black.

I dont know if you can use it elsewhere... Since I live in North TX (virtually no salt problems here = not bad rust), I just use R/O. I think it works fine. Just as a sidenote, I like to follow that up with a coat or 3 of Rubberized undercoating so that I am protected against chips, etc.

They say that stuff reduces noise, but I didnt notice that much of a difference, and what difference I did notice is likely only because I had a preconceived notion... It doesnt look very good (almost a rusty brown), so save some more flat black paint to go over that. (at least I did...)
