Well I've officially lost it.

Had to drive through some unavoidable puddles with my freshly detailed truck on the way to work this morning, so I actually went to Pep Boys on my lunch break and bought a bottle of QD and a microfiber towel (I've got 2 bottles of QD and about 30+ micro's at home) and QD'd my truck in their parking lot. Lord help me.

I hate when that happens. I just wait until I get home and wash the truck even if its dark out. My neighbors think im nuts.

I've often thought about using some QD, but I always am afraid I will scratch my paint even with QD and micro fiber towels.

Believe me, I am OCD when it comes to the cleanliness of my truck!

Anyway, is the QD safe to use????

I only use Quick Detailer for very minor puddle splashes on an already clean vehicle, or if it rains after I wash it and just want to shine it up again. I don't use it when the truck is dirty for the same worry of scratching it. In that case I just wait and wash it.

You are not alone. I was at a gas station last night and saw some smudges on my hood and got my Megs UQD out and went over the hood. I was already OCD, now it's really bad.

Yeah, I've officially decided now to keep a small bottle of QD and a microfiber in my truck at all times!

No kidding. I have glass cleaner and QD in my toolbox at all times.

I shudder to think of slinging that convinience store window water on my truck. But I really really HATE anything on my windshield. lol

I am guilty of keeping 2 different QD's in my truck at all times and a bag of MF's. In addition I also keep a small bottle of mixed Hyperdressing.

Not only that, I keep 2 collapsible buckets and some ONR with me too, and 1 gallon of water. (keep in my truck box)

this past weekend, i wiped my truck down 2X per day. Once in the morning after the dew dried and once in the afternoon after the truck sat under trees all day.

Yeah I was made fun of but my rig looked good.

Welcome to the OCD club

If it's a strictly a work truck I normally don't care much about it (I'll still try to wash it once a week), but for my personal play toys I try not to do anything that will hag them out. Truck, car, tank, doesn't matter... rust is rust. Splashing through mud puddles is going to rust out your underneath. My Lightning is like my Ferrari, nice weather driving only, and I don't want my wheel well plastic fading out or all the metal parts underneath rusting and rotting out.
