Engine Bay

Looking to really dress out my engine bay for a show this weekend.

Are there any Autozone/O'reilys type stuff that would be good for this?
Shows too soon to get some hyperdressing unless someone knows of a place in Amarillo or something that would keep it in stock.
I do have some #40 if that would be better than anything Autozone/O'reilys would have.

Any tips, tricks, hints on this? (Other than the cover this and that up and low pressure water, etc...) Got that covered. Looking for specific make it look new type stuff.

It looks pretty good right now. Just wanting a bit more. maybe a powerball?

When I used to work for Toyota Remanufacturing, we would wash the engine bay, then spray 303 all over it, then use an air compressor to get rid of the excess, and to make the shine even throughout. Worked pretty good, those engines looked like they were just put together at the plant. I have used this on my truck with good results and no ill effects.

303 something that's commonly found? Never seen it but I could have just missed it.

Guys, you are missing the point (no offense). He needs it NOW, and HD cant get to him in time...

Jolly man-- Get a bottle of a cheap tire foam. OR get Quick Interior Detailer (I say this because it is a non-dust attractant). Either will work fine, then order some HD for the future.

I have never seen 303 at a normal store-- but I hear you can get it at a boat or RV store, with more emphasis on the RV store...

Good luck.

I keep hearing about this 303 stuff and went to the West Marine web page to check it out and it looked like there was 3 different kinds. Can someone tell me exactly the stuff to get? -Thanks!

Since you need it ASAP. Get some purple power and dilute it 10:1. Then dress with AA Tire Foam.

TurtleWax F21 tire foam looks about the same as hyper dressing and is cheap and readily available: :

(doesn't attract dust too!)

Thumbs up

I go to my local car wash and spray the engine bay down, with the engine running! After driving back home,5-6 minutes, its dry. Then I spray "EVERYTHING" down with heavy duty CRC silicone spray. Then I wipe off/down the excess! Looks brand new and lasts a few months!

Yeah agree, I used to use that, it works great on wheel wells to.

Since I have 2 gallons of Hyperdress and time, that's what I use.

Lots of ways to skin this cat.

Cheers

Nice to see D&D Detailing back here.....
