Help with my future carpet extractor
Help with my future carpet extractor
Well guys im trying to decide what i am going to do about cleaning my tan cloth interior...here are my two options: The heatd Little Green Machine with hot water...or a General Electric portable steam cleaner. The steam cleaner is really small and i didnt know how well it would actually clean..and then i would need a powerful shop vac...right now i just use the one at the car wash...but i also have nifty cath alls in my truck so i just hand wash those...in the little green machine i was wanting to dilute around 10 or 12 to 1 D-Line all purpose cleaner plus...although i dont know because of simple green's warning on the back of their bottle about eroding the fiber...wonder if it is the same for the meguiar's aPC+...any help guys would be appreciated
I used the LGM quite a bit when I was detailing part time. It is perfect for a weekend warrior and the hot water helps break down stains. The only downfalls to the LGM is that it doesn't have a very big solution/extraction tank and it doesn't have a whole lot of lift.
Steam cleaners work great for cleaning crevices and spot cleaning, they won't get down into the fibers like a carpet extractor will.
I have both a commercial grade heated carpet extractor and a continuous fill vapor steamer. Both play a huge role in getting interiors looking their best.
APC's work really well on carpets and so does Woolite diluted 6:1. Folex is a good over the counter spot/stain remover.
If you want to get into some better cleaning products, you can't go wrong with ProChem products. I get all of my ProChem products at jondon.com.
Hope this helps!

I believe this was discussed not too long ago... I know the machine part was, but I cant remember if the products were or not...Either way, use the search feature to see-- it may just save you a BUNCH of time...
