Compliments and Gratitude

Let me set the scenario...

Wednesday: The family decided to go to the lake on Saturday.

Thursday: I scrubbed off the grill (see the Bedliner section of this forum, LineX and Hamburger Grease)

Friday 3pm: I decide I want to get some good pics of Earl (F-150 KR) towing the boat.

Compliment section follows...

Friday 5:15 pm: Picked up some Halogen work lights for the garage so that I can shine up the truck for his photo shoot.

Friday 8:30 pm: Assembled the Halogen work lights.

Friday 8:45 pm: Cursed the manufacturer of said Halogen work lights. The base broke. Due to time constraints, employed the use of several zip ties to stabilize the base. Will return said Halogen work lights to vendor on Sunday.

Friday 11:30 pm: Finished the Megs QD and Mothers Carnuba (not in any hurry at this point)

Saturday 12:30 am: Picked up my daughter from the high school dance.

Saturday 12:40 am: Pull into the garage, daughter asks "When did we get the spotlights?"

Saturday 12:40:30 am: My reply, "Earlier today, I wanted to shine up the truck for tomorrow."

Saturday 12:40:31 am: Daughter says, "You're way to obsessive."

Saturday 12:40:31:10 am: I say, "Yeah, but look how shiny."

Saturday 12:40:31:15 am: Daughter replied in her best "I'm 14 and I know more than you" voice, "It's always shiny."

Gratitude section follows...

Thank You to RockPick, RollingRock, Gipraw, f-150sport03 and everyone else on this forum for your generosity, sharing of knowledge, and overall good-hearted-ness. Few appreciate the amount of effort required to achieve good results in the finish of a vehicle. I am now among those few. I would post some pics, however with the halogen lights, I now realize that if I want to continue to be as OCD as I am with this truck, I must get a PC.

Again, thank you...

Thanks for the kudos, bud. Glad to hear that you have joined the ranks of us clowns with normal tendancies on occasion...But OCD most of the time!

I cant wait to see the before and afters with the spotlights-- those make it really show the impressive quality of detailing... Same lighting = no tricks = real results.

Roger that, and glad that my crazy posts are worth reading.

I am learning just like you.

There are several folks here who have helped 100's of truck owners over the years.

Thanks for the kudos.

Aside from my sister-in-law driving the boat through a grove of submerged trees with me in tow on one ski, the lake trip was a success.

It was quite cloudy, so the pics weren't as good as I was hoping. Here are some samples, though.

...can't post any more pics in this reply

Yeah, she is cute... and a heck of a good person.

Let me set up another scenario for ya.

1. You're "on base" playing short stop at an amateur field, then God be with you. Did you see the guns on her boyfriend?

2. You're "on base" at somewhere like Fort Sill. In that case... /salute. We all thank you very much for what you do.

Either way, I know you're JK. But seriously, in scenario 1... You're **** OOL, and in Scenario 2,

Edit... I wish I could post more smileys for scenario 2. I'm a patriotic summonabitch /thumbs up
