Question Black Again...

no, not a new book by Barak Obama, but the restorer/protectant for faded vinyl trim. Nooob here has already searched within this thread, but can't find if any of the auto parts places stock it (like Poop Boyz, AutoZone, Strauss, etc) carry it. I can only find it on-line.

Can anybody attest to it? My Mother's Back to Black is in the trash, but BA is supposed to be everything you could ask for (including curing the common cold?).

Thanks for any input...D

Mothers B2B...not Megs...

Anyway-- Never used black again, but I have had GREAT results with Bondo Restore Black, about $10 at WalMart. Search on it. It is a dye, not a cover up that fades in a few days-- I can personally attest to its performance, and its long lasting results.

WARNING: Restore Black does NOT work on every plastic, though. The smooth plastics as are found on an Xterra do NOT allow adhesion well, but any textured plastic will take fine. SO... for my truck, I can do all the plastics, because they all have texture. But you may not have my M.Y. truck...

Good luck-- dont forget the pics and a full report on how everything went!

No problem, bud. Glad to help.

Soon enough, the Xterra thread will be up, and you can see the results of this stuff on smooth plastic, textured, and somewhere in between...

Here's another option. I have used it and it does exactly what it says.

I got this crap at autozone for like $5 and used it on my stepside steps and all the non smooth black bumper trim and mirrors ect. Worked good and lasted a couple months.
