I know I know again....PC question
Hey guys...i have been really wanting to get a buffer for my detailing endeavors..however..im having a hard time seeing the big difference between a PC7424 and a cheap orbital from walmart...if i get professional pads...could i see great results? I have just been buying a bunch of stuff lately..wanting to cut my costs down. I am trying to get rid of a few swirls on my paint...so i def dont want to put more on there..i mainly need it to apply wax and sealant and some #80...what do you guys think about a cheaper buffer? Thanks

Just my .02 worth. If you do get the PC 7424, don't use the pads with the unit, get a backing plate and pads. Or get the Megs kit from ADS.
the cheapo from wally world won't have the speed, or the torque to get the job done .. with the proper pad, it might do a decent job of applying wax, but it will accomplish absolutely nothing in the area of defect repair or removal.
Also a "wax" will not remove swirls. You will need a polish or compound. Some waxes have fillers that will hide some swirls. I believe the Megs Swirl Remover you ordered is non-abrasive and uses fillers to hide the swirls. To remove the swirls you defiantly need a PC and a white or orange pad. Poorboys SSR line is good and so is Optimum Polish.
