Newspaper + Stoners Invisible Glass

Alot of people on these forums say newspaper is the best way to clean windows, along with Stoners Invisible glass .

So, MY question is....Doesn't that leave ink from the newspaper on the windows?

Do you spray onto window directly and then wipe with newspaper, or do you put it on the newspaper and then wipe?

School me.

Spray it on the window... The real question is what do you clean first the windshield or the dash???

And then isn't there a problem with mess coming from the newspaper?

No, no problems at all. You have to switch up the paper after every window otherwise it will start to fall apart... I guess that depends on how much you spray

I have heard the whole newspaper thing is because the some of the ink is left on the window making it shinier, whether it is true or not...

Now, I remeber watching a show on TNN, like 2 guys garage, but a chick and some guy. This show aired like 10 yrs ago. She was a brunette with a southern accent and it was filmed at her? house I guess. Anyways, she said to use newspaper and I think a bit of vinegar with water? I guess this is a good way, but the smell, is she right?

A good non-foaming airosol, a cotton towel, and alot of elbow grease. My SIL was a detailer for a dealer and showed me the trick.

Yes, vinegar and water is a GREAT forst attack on windows, as it dissolves all the hard water spot residues, eats through bird turds, etc. Just dont let it on your paint or else you will find yourself rewaxing.

I usually just sand blast any fine scratches in my windows, or to remove bugs and that annoying oily film

Okay... That was about as descriptive as "The time those people did the thing at the place with the stuff..."

More info, please.

I tried the newspaper thing once, I didn't really like it.

I just use a MF and Stoners, works great for me.

I liked the MF, too, but it meant I had to do laundry more often...

I use Stoners Invisable Glass, like mentioned, however I use a cotton towel and rub like H&&&,not just wipe it off. I also sometimes use a mixture of vineger/rubbing alcohol/water and a couple drops of Dawn dis soap..some recipe the wife got from a housekeeper. It cleans just about anything.
