Well, that depends.

Which wax I am going to use?

Depends on paint color, prep, condition, my mood, the planets alignment to Jupiter, how many adult beverages I've had, and most of all, how much time I have.

I am a paste kind of guy....but use #26 on occasion. I am on a Natty's kick and I am soon going to try out Pinnacle.

Newer pastes are not really pasty if you well. They are more like soft melted butter.

That should be enough to confuse you for a while.

Agreed. Megs #26 is pretty good and it does last a good while too.

Depending on your prep stages and if your pant is all ready to go, I think I would try using PB Polish with Sealer, then apply a coat of PB EX-P, wait an hour then remove that, then slap some Natty's Blue wax on it and see how that does for you.

The EX-P adds a lot of depth and pop to the color.

Or you could polish with what ever you like, then add 1-2 coats of S100.

One plan does take lots of extra time, but you could tape off your hood, smack in the middle. Do one side one way and the other another way and see if you can see any differences

Optimum makes a good polish...I have added 2 coats of S100 after that with some pretty impressive results on Black.

It's fun to play around with all the various types out there.

I will tell you that one time I added Megs #21 after Optimum and it didn't work well, it was real streaky so we removed it and started over. Maybe we didn't let it set long enough but it was strange.

Ok, my morning thoughts are all over the place...sorry.

It's all a personal preference...

If I'm applying by hand, I'd go with paste.... if by machine, I'd go liquid.

I think he's expanded to a few 'shops' but, I couldn't tell you where (might be a store finder on the site?).

I've always bought mine online from detailcity or autogeek.

Perfect advice (like RP needs me to tell him that )

From personal experience I will never use my PC to apply paste wax again. I never got the old #26 completely out of the pad and now can only use that to apply wax in the future.

Well... I'll use a liquid if I have the choice.

I have certainly been known to take an applicator pad, chisel some out of the tin (paste) and use the applicator pad to apply it to my foam pad on my PC or rotary...

Remember, #16 doesn't come in a liquid...
