Anyone use Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax Spray?
I bought a bottle of this stuff while I was at Auto Zone today and I was wondering if any of you guys have tried it. If so, what did you think? I normally just use Meguiars Quick Detailer Spray between waxing and thought this stuff would give me a better shine...

not a fan of it for two reasons ..
1. don't see the purpose of any spray wax. by spending another 3 or 4 minutes, you can apply a quick coat of any high quality liquid carnuaba, and get 10x the shine and protection of a spray.
2. it has always seemd streaky to me .. seems to actually dull the clarity, instead of enhancing it .. also very humidity sensitive.
Try it .. you might find you like it .. which is more important than any of our opinions ..
I actually use the bottle I have for chrome wheels at shows .. gives a quick shine, and easy to apply ..

Tried it a couple of times now it sits on the shelf with the rest of the products that I don't like but can't quite throw away yet. Like Gipraw said its very humidity sensitive and living down south that's not a good thing. Also in the amount of time it takes to apply and remove the spray wax I can almost put down another layer of synthetic or carnuaba wax both of which offer more protection than the spray wax.
I bought some for my Harley since I couldn't find the Meguares detailer. I dont' like it - sits on the shelf as well.

Which wax do you guys think is the best? I'm looking for something that will give me a deep show quality shine. I've heard great things about the Meguiars Ultimate Detailer spray, so I'm probably going to switch to that as my QD between waxing. I've tried several different waxes and really haven't been satisfied. I've used Meguiars Gold Class, Rain-X, Turtle Wax Platinum, Meguiars Cleaner Wax and a few others I can't remember.

1. Do you like the idea of ordering a better wax online, or getting the better of what AutoZone has on the shelf?
2. How often do you want to wax?
3. Are you willing to go for a multi step process?
4. what color is your truck? Does it have metal flake?
5. Describe in a LOT of adjectives what you picture your paint to look like.
6. Are you willing to do any pre-waxing prep work?
7. Are you rotary and/or PC equipped, and if so, do you know how to use them?
8. How much are you willing to spend?
9. How much time can you spend on each application?
10. Look at pics where people used Liquid Glass. Do you like that insane shine better, or do you prefer the look of something like #26 (do a search)
Answer those, and I can help your wax search.
As for your QD-- I think that the UQD is probably fine, but there are other alternatives. If you have not yet gotten the UQD, please let us know, and we will chime in our favorites. I also have a set of questions for this:
1. How much are you willing to spend?
2. Are you ready to buy in bulk to save a BUNCH of $$$?
3. Are you after the cleaning properties, or the depth enhancing, or both?
4. Are you willing to do a 2 step process for QDing?
5. What you are using to wipe off the QD?
Have fun answering those.... I will check in on you in a few minutes...
I use it while drying. I'd rather put on a coat of actual wax if I am going to spend the time.
The only I notice here is everyone is comparing it to QD, which it isn't. Quik Wax is the other spray on wax product.

1. I don't mind ordering wax online.
2. I want to wax at least once every 2-3 months.
3. Yes
4. Dark Shadow Gray. Kinda.
5. I want my paint to have a deep, wet, show quality shine.
6. Yes
7. No, but I know how to use them. I was thinking about getting one.
8. Not an arm and a leg, but I'd spend a little bit to get a quality product.
9. Depends on the day. If a weekend, all day.
10. I can't find the thread you're referring to, but that liquid glass stuff looks like it gives a pretty good shine.
QD:

2. Sure.
3. More for the depth enhancing but both are good.
4. Depends how much work is involved.
5. Microfiber towels.
You're gonna say Zaino aren't you?
