Pressure Washer
I dont think that its a good idea. Use a good washing procedure and the pressure of the tap water should be enough to rinse the suds off.
But if you arent the type to actually wash, but more rise, than whatever is cheap if you are going to buy one, and the lowest setting if you already have one. G'Luck!

Thats what i thought as well...the high pressure rinse is what i like best about the car wash but i never want to take it their because of the harsh soap. I didnt wanna get something that was going to blast my paint off though either...just help get it cleaner..so around 1500 is good...i was thinking about getting the 1300 but if 1500 is safe than that is it..thanks
When you pressure wash before scrubbing your rinse and soap water bucket doesn't get dirty like it does if you just use the hose. So I'd say that's alot less dirt you're scrubbing across the paint. I use a gas powered 3700 PSI 4.0GPM 13HP pressure washer with a 25 degree tip BTW.

This thread makes me feel much better! I have always felt uneasy about using my 2600 psi washer even with the 40 degree tip after seeing it tear up graphics on the quad. Should make things quite a bit easier knowing that I can use it without damaging the finish.
those graphics on the quad are cheap... just stuck on there to improve the visual appeal while on the showroom floor... I have always removed any type of graphic tape/ sticker when i get a new quad... because eventually those graphics will start to crumble away like an old sticker soaked in water and the glue will streak down the paint...
but no worries on a vehicle... just dont get real real real close and use atleast a 20* tip and you are GOOD TO GO! on the Undercarrage I use a 15* or sometimes a 10* depending on how muddy or dirty it is...

1500PSI or 1800 PSI works like a charm!
I have an 1800PSI Craftsman and have been using it for years on MANY vehicles without an issue whatsoever.
Just make certain you have thewidest "flare" tip on - and not up too close - and you'll be good to go.

Well i have not purchased one yet...do all of these "tips" come with the pressure washer or are they sold separately...and do some have settings on the unit instead of separate tips or nozzles? Thanks
The better and more expensive pressure washers should come with different tips. Mine came with a bunch of different tips plus a soap/solvent applicator tip. The cheaper ones will just have one built in/permanent tip that you twist to widen and narrow the fan.

. At least 20 degees is fine.
