Sanding and Buffing
I just had my truck painted (by body shop recomended by Ins. Co.) about 3 months ago. I am kinda unsatisfied by the overall looks. It is black, and for the most part looks good. There are a few spots though that are horribly orange peeled. The body shop I used is no longer there. Can I sand and buff myself? I have pretty good mechanical abilities. If so, can someone explain how, or if you live near Albemarle NC, and want to make a couple extra bucks, let me know.

I'm no pro but I would recommend taking the peel down with 1500-2000 grit wet. After that, the fun part...buying a new tool etc.

& a high quality foam pad. Well worth it!!
*Warning* Don't tell your friends or you'll be doing their trucks/cars/bikes too!

No, you run the risk of removing too much clear and causing it to fail. Its way to easy for someone that isnt experienced to ruin their car. Take it to a shop, or have an experienced person help you IN PERSON.
Thanks Guys....found someone
Turns out I have a buddy in the FD with me, who's dad runs a body shop (I didn't know) and I have a vinyl graphics, and sign business, he's gonna sand and buff my truck and I am gonna make him a pair of magnet signs for his business.
Thanks again,
Bryan
