Help with wax

Hey everyone,

Was just wondering if leaving some spots of wax on overnight would cause any harm? I started waxing when the sun started to set, but was doing a million things at the same time and didn't notice how fast the sun was setting. I stayed out as dark as I could, but it got hard to see, and I was swimming through mosquitos (which up here in New England can be a serious health risk if bitten by the wrong one).

So basically I'm guessing I missed some spots on the wipe off, just wanted to make sure it would be alright until morning before I head to work.

I would rinse the overnight water off the truck then dry it first. Should be ok after that.

No problem with allowing it to sit on the truck overnight from a 'risk' standpoint.

The only issue may be that the 'wax' may be quite a bit more difficult to remove after going through a moist night into a dryer day.

agreed.

just make sure the surface is good a dry, then remove it .. if it is still a little damp, you will just spread your probem.

Spray on a QD to help remove it.

I guess the brand of wax you are using could be a minor factor. There have been many times when I pull a car or truck out into the sunlight the day after waxing it and noticed that I missed a spot or two. I've never had any problems personally, but 03gt was right on with the QD idea.
