Ashland Wisconsin here - on the shore of Lake Superior
03gtmustang - thanks for the clearing up a few cobwebs for a noobie dunce such as I. And appreciate others advice on products, WallyWorld can't help me with any of those so I'll websearch and check the local NAPA. I do have 2 Sears random orbital buffers so I don't have to do it totally by hand. If I could use "better" products I would appreciate advice. We have eight months of winter here and ooooodles of road salt so durability is important to me.

My mom got a new nissan and it came with this wax on it that they use on airplane propelers. It cost me $150 to get on my truck but hell not having to wax for 3-4 years is worth it to me.

I use Liquid Glass Wax on my truck and love the results. Easy on....Easy off...no wax dust or crust in any of the cracks and crevices to deal with afterward

Just and FYI, your truck looks great.

I just used 3M Hand Glaze yesterday on my newly painted 64 Galaxie and it made it flawless. I just wanted to see what the 3m would do and to put another coat on since it is still bieng assembled and I want to keep it up.
