Pictures After- these dont do the truck justice. It was dripping wet after the Sig. Series II.

Looks much better! Black is a mother to keep up, but offers the greatest reward when done right.

Truck looks amazing. I would do that if wasnt raining so much here right now.

Quick question, how long does that look last after say.. a week of daily driving in rain mud dirt roads etc?

Im curious to see if a nice job like that would be worth it to me.
Will dirt/mud/ crap rinse right off and produce the same detailed effect with a normal wash?

Stellar results, bud. Very good work.

I particularly like the fact that you had the same lights on for before/after shots-- really makes the work more appreciable when you can prove that it's not trick photography. Keep it up!!!

Very nice job ..

a couple of questions about the XMT:

How do you like it? I haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

Any micromarring issues when using it with an orange Edge?

Id recommend using a sealant on your truck. There are many options out there. XMT 360 is part sealant, however, Im not sure how durable it is compared to other pure sealants such as Klasse, Wolfgang, DP, Zaino, and Duragloss. But out of all of these, Id recommend Duragloss for you. Its on the cheaper side, but is said to last awhile. Then top it with a nice wax.

A properly finished car with good products will allow all of that stuff to rinse right off. Youll notice a huge difference when washing your car after detailing compared to washing it with no protection on there. For your car Id also pick up some Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay or Sonus green clay. These are mild clays which are said to not remove wax. So this will get rid of anything that a washing wont. Then you might consider getting some Pinnacle Souveran spray wax to maintain your finish. Just use the spray wax after each wash.

Thank you. Its very easy to hide things with pictures. I could wash that car, stick it in the shade and you wouldnt see any swirls. But putting it under the light really proves you corrected it.

Im assuming you're asking about XMT 360. This doesnt leave ANY micromarring. I could probably use an Edge yellow pad and work it for 1 min and still not have any. Thats the thing I love about the 360. It can also be used as your LSP. But I top it with a certain wax depending on the paint Im working with.

The key to working with the XMT 360 is to go very slow, keep the pad level, and work it in until its gone.
