About to make an order

Alright I'm about to place an order with Auto Detailing Solutions, but want to make sure I get the right stuff. I'm looking at ordering package #3, but not sure what else I may need. About every post mentions #80, #83 amongst others, which of course package #3 doesn't come with. The good thing is that these items come in the small 12oz bottles so I won't have to break the bank on this initial order. My paint actually isn't too bad because I have taken care of it pretty well, but I am starting to see some light swirls and water spots.

So with this initial order I'm going to go with;

Package #3 DA polisher professional swirl removal kit (I remember seeing a post about asking to substitute one item for another with this package, anyone know which one that might be?).

Some #80, don't think my paint is quite bad enough yet for #83.

Pads? Which ones?

Wax?

ANything else I should get initially? Thanks in advance.

in that package, I would swap the #2 for some #80, add an additional 9006 pad, and add some #26 and maybe a couple extra microfibers.

personally, I would also swap the NXT for some #21, but the NXT will work just fine ..

Make sure you tell Rick that the F150online guys sent you ..

I would add a twelve pack of his Premium Quality 16" x 16" Microfiber Polishing Towels. For $9.99, it's a heck of a deal. They are pretty good towels for that price.

I would agree with this...

I had the luck of getting to try one of these out. After tinkering with it, I bought a 12-pack. They're decent towels for the $.

Any other inputs? Gonna put in the order tomorrow, so this is what I'm thinking of going with;

Package #3 with suggested changes (#80 for #2 & #21 for NKT)
Additional 9006 pad
Grit Guard
11oz #26
12 pack MF towels

Anything else?

From a necessity standpoint... that's a pretty good start. From the standpoint of getting a few other goodies, I'd recommend:

1. D-Line Glass Cleaner (get the trial size -- that makes SEVERAL 32oz bottles worth and it's great glass cleaner when mixed properly).
2. D-Line Body Solvent - great tar remover

Enjoy!

Order went in, Rick said it would be shipped out tomorrow.

Got a question though. Why is it suggested to those ordering from Rick to mention F150online? If it's because he normally gives a discount to members then I didn't get it despite mentioning the site on more than one occassion.

no, he doesn't offer a discount to site members.

basically, to let him know where some of his business is coming from ..

RockPick has been trying to convince him to become a sponsor here .. so everyone on here tat mentions this place adds to that info ..

maybe get you a little better customer service than you would otherwise get .. although I am not sure how Rick would manage that, since they are the best I have ever dealt with ..

boils down to no big reason .. other than saying "Hey" to someone ..

Like Gip mentioned... basically just to let him know where the business is coming from. None of us here get any 'perks' for suggestive marketing but, most all of us who have dealt with Rick have had a level of customer service that is second to none and thus, we like to pass on that type of an experience to others.

No single company is perfect but, Rick is not too far off of par for the course.

I was pretty happy with the service I received. I called, left a message and he called me back like at 7 in the evening and took my order. I checked and it was shipped out today so hopefully I'll have it in time to take to Tenn with me. Only problem is I'll be staying on a military base in the barracks so not sure if I'll be able to put it to use or not. :o

Well got my order in tonight, man I can't wait to actually use this stuff. My wife is trying to get me to do her car before I head up to Tenn on Sunday, but I don't want to use the pads on her car first.

What does everyone use to actually clean their pads with? Thanks
