Lucas Slick Mist
Anyone try this stuff called Lucas Slick Mist Paint Gloss Intensifier? Was at O'Reilly's this morning picking up a few items and one of the guys working there pointed it out to me and said it was the best quick detailer on the market. Said it had only been out a few months and it beat Meguire's Quik Detailer hands down. Told me he took it to a car show and used it on his 1966Mustang and now all his friends use it over Megs.
I needed a bottle of Quik Detailer anyways so I told him I'd try it and let him know what I thought. He told me if I didn't like it to bring it back and he'd give me a bottle of Megs in return. I thought I had nothing to lose so off I went. Washed the truck and gave the Lucas a try. Overall I'd say I'm pretty happy with the results and it seems to give my black paint a little more shine. Not sure if it beats Megs hands down, but it's just as good if not slightly better than Megs. Wish I would have kept the receipt to justify any cost difference though. If you see it and you're thinking about it I'd recommend it at this point.

Haven't tried it but I've seen several of the Lucas products showing up in the automotive sections...
While Meg's QD isn't bad, it's probably not in my top 5 as far as what's available out there on the market. From the standpoint of items that are available locally, it ranks high.
I may give that stuff a whirl... I need to blow through about 8 gallons of D-51 first. HA!

RP - I've been very happy with the results I get from Megs QD, to hear you say it wouldn't be your top 5 is suprising to me. I'd really love to hear what your top 5 would be because I'm always on the lookout for products that make my truck look even better. I'm not a loyalist to any brand so if there's something better than Megs or even this Lucas (which the more I look at the more I'm impressed with) I'd be willing to try it out.

#3 is a great product but probably more in the 'waterless wash' category. Most everyone will use it as a QD spray to remove heavier dust etc as it offers more lubricating and 'lifting' power than a standard QD. I'll almost always follow it with a hit of UGE or D-51 or 425.
