Foam gun

You guys ever seen this? I'm getting one of these. If not for my car, my vinyl siding. Now that's foam.

I was debating on whether or not to get one for a presoak type of deal...not so much for washing... Like spray foam over the entire truck let it sit for 30 seconds to a minute and then power wash it off....and then go to normal washing...I dont know if that would help more then just straight power washing it first or not... if it was more affordable I would already have one, but the 150 buck price tag is killing me...

Yep... those have been all the rage over the past couple of years. They make sense...

That guy is using one with a much larger kick (ie: air compressor/pressure washer).

That setup probably is a tad pricier than the standard hose version...

I can't answer that... I don't know.

I understand the concept but struggle to part with that much money to 'test it out'.

I'll drop $20 to try a product that I'm not sure about... this thing is just a little different to me.

With my luck, I'd love it and would dump another $800 into a huge air compressor setup for a pressure washer. LOL! I'd end up having $1500 in it before I got it the way that I wanted it.

I have to remember that I'm not a full-time detailer -- just a weekender with a small side-biz and a client base that consist of a few regulars and a lot of walk-ins.

O I was looking at the one that guy had in that video...His is called a Foam Cannon...They are $150 bucks...

Rusty, if you could try it out and see if it really helps with presoaking your truck and see if you would even need to use a mitt...that would be awesome!

Well that's the principal behind a foam cannon. Touch-less. Anytime you can keep from touching the paint especially black paint it's an added bonus. Now ya use your Rain-X shampoo and a leaf blower, badda bing! No spots and you didn't lay a finger on the paint.

Guys in the U.K. came up with the idea of the P.W. foam gun. They're all the rage over there.

They make foam guns for a regular garden hose but it's extremely pale in comparison. And those are selling for $65.00.

I have a nice Craftsman 3000 PSI P.W. I hardly use. Now I gotta reason. I'm not even going to mess with it using it on my truck. I'm taking straight to my vinyl siding. I'll use it on my truck later. Actually with the Duragloss applied, it never looks dirty anymore. That's sayin' something for black paint.
