Pics of detail

Well i started around 9 and finished around 2. I washed, clayed, 2 coats or wax, and detailed the interior. Tell me what you think and let me know what else i can do to make it look better.

I have. Clay, polish, 2 coats NXT, seal it up with some #16. Think my lid has more orange peel that the truck if that's even possible.

here is what polish does...it is harder to see this effect on light colored and metallic cars....but you get the idea. i took these pics from another guy since his shots turned out so nice.

before machine rotary polish

and this is the after with a rotary machine polish

People polish to remove defects in the clearcoat .. swirls and light scratches being the most frequently. It is most effective when done with a machine, either a DA (Dual Action Orbital) like a PC or G100, or with a high speed rotary, like a DeWalt or Makita.

the PC is safe to use, even for beginners.. the rotary is recommended for the more experienced.

If you finish is new, and in pretty good shape, you can maintain it without the use of a machine if you use very good washing and drying techniques.

If you plan to become very involved with the car of your vehicle's finish .. then I would recommend reading up on the benefits of a PC, ad the grabbing one for using on your fellt.

I could never get that below picture like that, just using a PC. Not in one day anyway. Maybe one spot, but never a whole vehicle. If anybody else could, then I'm doing something way, way wrong.

its not a porter cabale...its a rotary polisher set at about 1500 rpms and about 20-30 mins per panel (example hood 30 mins + fender 30 mins + door 30 mins...and so on) using 3 steps of compound/polishing. look close at the 1 st photo of the red car. just below the light on the right and again about 1/2 inch lower. you can see the "tale tale" hooking scratches from a dirty da polisher. these are the little half hook circular scratches not the straight spider web scratches.
